Formed in late 2001, Blue Star Drive’s singer Lou Panico and bassist Mike Padilla found themselves together with the same intentions, to enjoy music. After a benefit show for September 11th victims, Blue Star Drive met up with Jason Padilla and created a band called “Distant Secondâ€?. This fantastic trio of cover songs and local shows quickly led to the addition of another guitarist. With Brendan Root now on guitar, and the creation of “Blue Star Driveâ€? that we have all grown to know and love, Blue Star Drive has become well known on Genco Records and have released their debut EP ‘Sealed With A Kiss’ (released October 11th 2003). With influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and Saves the Day (to name a few), Blue Star Drive has created a unique blend of rock that will pleasure the ears of many to come.
